Annual Dance (this years date for your diary - Saturday 16th September 2000)
In September of each year we organise a supper-dance at a local venue where over 200 people are wined, dined and entertained. A hot meal and dancing to a live pop-group are included in the ticket cost..
If you could help by cooking or manning the bar, donating raffle prizes or just by coming along to support us, please get in touch.
Car Boot Sale (this years date for your diary - May date TBA)
Organised for the first time in 1999, this successful event will be repeated in the spring of 2000. Held on a local disused airfield, this ideal location provides a super spot for a day of bargain hunting and bartering. Last year we had over 170 stands selling everything from antiques to loft-clearance rubbish. Loads of fun, providing the weather stays dry!
Dressage Demonstration
Organised for the first time on Sunday 13th February 2000 as a County Fund Raising event. At the time of writing we have sold 300 tickets and we will up-date you further when the final totals are in.
An event with Ferdi Eilberg as a Presenter and eight top class riders doing individual presentations of dressage to music is proving to be very popular.
Quiz Nights
Held at our local pub, The Romping Cat, and hosted by the landlord and his wife (Gordon & Dot Simcox), this frenzy of cerebral mayhem is one of fun and enjoyment rather than intellectual brilliance. Why is it that the questions seem harder with the volume of real ale consumed?
Raffles
Where would we be without this ubiquitous fund raiser. If you can help by pledging prizes or just want to buy some tickets please contact us. We are currently indebted to people who have donated the Balloon Ride, a crate of red wine, champagne, half a day Quad Biking, Half a Day 4 x 4 driving, Free service on a horse box, etc.
